There’s a moment I keep coming back to. It’s the moment someone walks into a room full of strangers, still carrying the weight of a profound loss or a struggle no one else can quite see — and by the end of an hour and a half, they’re not strangers anymore. They’re people who understand and who are understood.
That’s the heart of everything we do at TriCircle. Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation, and grief was never meant to be carried alone. It happens in circles — in the small, steady act of showing up for one another, week after week, until connection becomes the thing that holds us up and holds us together.
That’s why I’m so proud to share that very soon TriCircle will be opening the doors to our new Recovery & Bereavement Community Hub in Wallingford, CT. This space is being built for exactly those moments — a warm, welcoming home base where people navigating recovery or bereavement can find each other, find support, find resources and to help find their footing again.
The Hub isn’t just a building. It’s a promise: that no one in our community has to walk through hard times without support. Every support circle, every quiet conversation in this space, every person who walks in unsure and leaves a little less alone — that’s connection doing its work.
I want to thank the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, our new office manager, Krystal Augustin, and the all the volunteers, and neighbors who are helping to make this possible. With your help we’re not just opening a door, we are building a place where people find each other again, Together WE are Stronger!
